The International Institute for Transcribers and Court Reporters recommends all graduates to advance towards obtaining professional certification.
As you will see while taking our courses, there is a strong emphasis on this. Not only should it be an ambition for all court reporters, but all legal transcriptionists as well.
In the United States, Canada, and around the world, either the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers or the International Alliance of Professional Reporters and Transcribers are recognized as the leading certifying professional associations for digital/electronic court reporters and digital/electronic legal transcribers.
Upon completion of your course, every student is encouraged to utilize the skills and knowledge gained to move forward with acquiring professional certification.
We have designed four “Prepare to Pass” courses for this purpose and strongly recommend our graduates to take all four. If your aim is to be certified as a professional Legal Transcriptionist, please click here for a description of our Prepare to Pass courses specifically for Legal Transcriptionists.
Please feel free to contact Wendy Ponka at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or concerns with respect to professional certification.
